Van Dyke will stay in Liverpool until 2025

Virgil van Dyke has signed a new contract with Liverpool, under which he will remain at Anfield until 2025. The 30-year-old Dutchman entered the last 12 months of his contract and the Merseysiders were activated. Van Dyke played just five games last season after suffering a serious injury. That is why he missed Euro 2020 and focused his efforts on getting better for the start of the season.

Thus, Van Dyne became another Liverpool player who signed a new contract. Fabinho, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alison had done this before him. The Reds lost some excellent players without money as their contracts expired. Emre Can left the club a few seasons ago, and the most recent example is Jorgeninho Vainaldum, who joined PSG after the European Championship.
