The draw for the groups of the World Cup 2022 will be drawn on April 1

The draw for the group stage of the World Cup will be drawn on April 1 in Qatar, although two of the quotas will not be filled yet, said FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

The annual Congress of the International Federation will be held a day earlier. By the end of March, the names of 30 of the 32 teams that will play in the World Cup will be announced. 

The other two quotas will be played in the intercontinental playoffs in June. They will meet a team from Asia, CONCACAF (North, Central America and the Caribbean), Oceania and South America. So far, apart from the hosts from Qatar, only Germany and Denmark have secured a place at the World Cup.
