Real Madrid - Atlético Madrid prediction and analysis
The most interesting match of Saturday's program in the new round in La Liga is undoubtedly the Madrid derby between Real and Atlético.
The bookmakers give a heavy edge to White to win.
But I think we're likely to witness a contested match here.
As both the teams are on long streaks of matches without losing.
However, the Royals are in a truly phenomenal form - 5 consecutive victories in all competitions.
What is even more impressive in this case is that the Whites scored 20 goals in that period!
As in 4 of the matches, their forwards scored 4+ goals.
Now they face the strong defense of Atlético .
A defense that hasn't conceded more than a goal in an official game since November 1st last year.
When they lost 1-2 to Porto in the Champions League.
Today, however, this is likely to be disrupted.
And my prediction is that Real will score 2 or more goals here, but also concede one goal.
Crystal Palace vs Liverpool Prediction, Betting Tip & Match Preview
Real Madrid is 8 points from the top
The Real Madrid team did not start 2023 in the best way.
Whereas they only managed to win 3 of their first 9 games of the year (in regular time).
Which is definitely too mediocre an achievement for a team of the caliber of the White Ballet.
These results cost the Kings a serious deficit in La Liga at the expense of leaders Barcelona.
As well as giving the Super Cup to the country in the hands of the Catalans.
Real Madrid has exploded of late
After that, however, an experienced coach like Carlo Ancelotti was able to lift the team.
And since February 8, the Whites are in a streak of 5 consecutive victories .
Part of which brought them the triumph of the World Club Championship.
And the latest victory, won just a few days ago at the mythical "Anfield", gave Los Blancos a serious advance against Liverpool in the 1/8 final match of the Champions League.
The 5-2 result was shaped by a complete turnaround from the Kings after Poole had taken a 2-0 lead.
Atlético Madrid is rested
Unlike Real, their city rivals Atlético were released from European commitments during the week.
Having been infamously knocked out of the Champions League in the autumn.
Atlético are fighting for a place in the Top 4
But on the other hand, it helped Diego Simeone stabilize his team on the domestic stage.
And after a series of good results, Atleti keep their position in the Top 4 of the La Liga standings for now .
Which is important from the point of view of participation in the Champions League in the fall.
As they even managed to build up a 4-point lead over 5th Betis.
This means that a possible draw or even a loss will not be such a fatal result for the Dušekchii.
