Kevin De Bruyne suffered a severe nose and cheek injury in the Champions League final against Chelsea at Do Dragao in Porto.
He was injured in an aerial match with Chelsea defender Antonio Rüdiger. After him, it turned out that the Belgian footballer had a broken nose and cheekbone.
"I am sorry for the injury. Of course, I had no such intention. I've already contacted Kevin and wished him a speedy recovery. I hope he will be on the field again very soon, "said Rüdiger.
Chelsea also sent a message to De Bruyne: "We wish you a speedy recovery."
In Belgium, there is great concern about the condition of the midfielder, who is in question for the start of the European Championship.
De Bruyne has played 40 games for Manchester City in all competitions this season, scoring 10 goals and 18 assists.
