PSG - Lille Prediction and Analysis
PSG host Lille in one of the most interesting matches of the round in French Ligue 1.
The Parisians will be desperate for a win here to break the 3-game losing streak they've been in.
One of those losses (against Olympique Marseille) cost them elimination from the Coupe de France tournament.
But in the other two tournaments, the Parisians have chances - Ligue 1 and the Champions League, despite these defeats.
Host coach Christophe Galtier has guided PSG's opponents Lille to the Ligue 1 title in 2020/21.
The good news for him is that he can now welcome back Kylian Mbappe from injury .
It is Mbappe who will be the last player his former club would want to see on the field.
As the striker opened the scoring inside 10 seconds in the reverse fixture for an impressive 7-1 win for the leaders .
Neymar also had an active part in this pogrom, being involved in five of the goals - 2 goals and 3 assists.
PSG, however, must be cautious.
Knowing that Lille were the last team to beat the capital city's Parc des Princes in a Ligue 1 match.
Although this happened in April 2021.
Since then, Paris Saint-Germain has gone 28-5-0 in 33 home league games .
So my prediction is a win for the home team here. But Lille will probably score a goal as well.
Because the previous 3 head-to-head matches ended exactly this way – 2-1, 5-1, 7-1 for PSG.

PSG is in crisis - 3 losses in a row
PSG put in another poor performance in the Champions League earlier this week.
When he conceded a 0-1 home loss to Bayern Munich in the first leg of the round of 16 clash.
This defeat comes to say that perhaps the Parisians have fallen into some kind of crisis.
As the loss was their 3rd in a row in all competitions.
An unprecedented number of losses in a short time
The French champions have already lost as many matches in the first two months of 2023 (5) as in the whole of 2022.
And now they will be looking to avoid a fourth consecutive loss in a season for the first time since 2000!
Manager Christophe Galtier admitted his side were going through a "difficult period".
But such was their dominance before that that the Parisians still have a 5-point lead at the top of Ligue 1 ahead of this round.
Lille is in good form in the league (5-4-1)
Lille have made a very good comeback since the restart of the championship after the 2022 World Cup.
They have lost just one of their eight Ligue 1 games during that time (4-3-1). And so they settled in the Europe zone.
What's more, Paulo Fonseca's men are just 6 points off the Champions League qualifying positions.
That gap could be narrowed even further with a win in the upcoming game.
Lille took him from PSG, but he is a dangerous guest
To be successful, Lille will have to overcome their fears from their last 2 meetings with PSG, which they lost 12-2 on aggregate!
Although none of these matches were played in the French capital of Paris.
Playing away has certainly suited Fonseca's side this season.
As only three teams have won more away games than them in Ligue 1 this campaign (5-2-4).
And only Marseille have conceded fewer than their 10 goals in 12 away games.
