Manchester United and Manchester City are the two clubs with the most expensive teams, according to the annual survey of the Swiss company CIES at the top five championships in Europe. The Manchester giants are the only ones to cross the psychological threshold of 1 billion euros.
The players in the Manchester City team are estimated at 1.08 billion, while their neighbours from "Old Trafford" have a total value of 1.023 billion. In third place from CIES put Paris Saint-Germain. The French club's team is valued at 939 million euros.
The top 5 also includes Real Madrid (787 million) and Chelsea (780 million).
Liverpool (672 million), Juventus (657 million), Arsenal (630 million), Barcelona (578 million) and Tottenham (551 million) are also in the top 10 in terms of spending on team building.
