Manchester United footballer Mason Greenwood remains in custody after he was arrested yesterday on suspicion of rape and beating.
The 20-year-old attacker spent the night in a police cell after charges were brought against him. Investigators were in front of the footballer's house in Bowden on Sunday afternoon to gather evidence. Manchester United have already announced that Greenwood has been suspended indefinitely after charges were brought against him by police.
The Premier League club initially said it "does not approve of violence of any kind", but later removed Greenwood after a police investigation was launched against the attacker. Greenwood was removed from the Manchester United team until the second order.
The Manchester United footballer's career is in serious doubt, as one of his Nike sponsors said he was "deeply concerned" and would monitor the situation with the 20-year-old striker.
