Eintracht Frankfurt recorded a prestigious victory against Bayern Munich with 2: 1, thus chasing the leaders in the Bundesliga. The goals for the hosts were the work of Daiichi Kamada and Amin Younes. For the Bavarians, Robert Lewandowski was right.
Thanks to the three points, Eintracht already has 42 in its assets, as does the third Wolfsburg. Bayern is still in first place with 49 - five from the second RB Leipzig.
Eintracht started the match well and could open the score in the 4th minute. Amin Younes entered the penalty area and shot dangerously, but his shot was blocked by a defender of the Bavarians. The hosts still scored in the 12th minute. Daichi Kamada scored with a shot in the right corner of the door after an excellent pass from Filip Kostic.
In the 31st minute Eintracht shocked his opponent for the second time. This time in the arms of his teammates was Amin Younes. He received a very good pass from Kamada and with a shot from the edge of the penalty area made the score 2: 0. A little later, Bayern could return a goal, but the shot of Kingsley Coman was perfectly reflected by Kevin Trapp. By the end of the half, Hansi Flick's players created two more very dangerous situations, but Koman and Chupo-Moting stood out with omissions.
After the break, Bayern increased the speed and logically reached a goal. Its author was Robert Lewandowski, who scored in the 53rd minute after an assist by Leroy Sane. In the middle of the second half, the Bavarians were close to an equalizer, but Koman's shot was saved by Trapp. In the 80th minute of the match, Eintracht's players claimed a penalty, but after consulting with the VAR, referee Sasha Stegemann decided that there were not enough grounds to show the white dot.
