Côte d'Ivoire match stopped after referee fainted

The referee of the qualifying match for the African Cup of Nations between Côte d'Ivoire and Ethiopia fainted and was taken off the field on a stretcher. The game was suspended for ten minutes to help referee Gullou of Bulgaria. He felt bad in the 81st minute and could not stay on his feet.

Bulu lay on his back and relaxed, losing consciousness briefly. When he was taken out of the stadium, he woke up.

The unpleasant incident happened when the Ivorians led 3: 1. The match could not be completed because the fourth referee is a native of Côte d'Ivoire. So far, there is no decision from the African Football Confederation whether the 3: 1 result will be recognized as final or there will be a playoff.

The teams of Ethiopia and Côte d'Ivoire have already qualified for the finals of the African Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon next year.
